i am trying to control my sub 37 with my new Model D via midi. Both units are connected and set to channel 9 but when i hit keys on the model d no sound is coming out of the sub 37. I am pretty sure this is a noob type oversight but cant figure it out. Any ideas?

Guessing the Sub37 is like the LP on that point, have you set the S37 to receive MIDI over DIN and/or USB?
You can also test whether the Model D does send MIDI using one of your M32 e.g.

Thanks. It looks like my power on commands are not working on my Model D. That is a huge disappointment. Moog is sending me a sysex file with a firmware update that they hope will resolve the problem. Mine is unable to transpose octaves via midi and also unable to switch midi channels.

Jeeze that's not good. Does it work on the default channel/omni?

This is why I hate things like 'power on commands', 'hold this weird combination of keys down while you power up, etc.' - the original D had no such bullshit.

Of course it didn't have MIDI either, but I can live with that. Where there is firmware, there is pain.

^^^^^^

I did get it resolved. Moog sad that since I revived a very early model it had firmware that had some bugs. Updated firmware has been installed and there shouldn't be anymore problems.
