Moog Source
I 'm having real problems with my Moog Source. The optical imput knob will not go backwards (decrease) values. We tried new sensors but nothing seems to work. This is a vital piece too as it changes all parameters and storage. ANyone knows a work around or suggestions for a fix? thanks,

Re: Moog Source
Hello and welcome.
The encoder working in only one direction is an indication that one of the logic gates might be malfunctioning in the encoder part of the circuit.

Re: Moog Source
I also heard that the distance between the two optocouplers that read the direction of the optical wheel makes a difference. Good luck.
Re: Moog Source
I just saw this today but yesterday posted my repair of a Source Incremental Controller http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=26034. I had to make three modifications to use different sensors. The standard LED current is way too high, the pinout was different, and I had to adjust the phase delay between the two outputs. Details are on my Moog Source page at http://modularsynthesis.com/moog/source/source.htm. Good luck.
