Micromoog Front Nameplate

Post by Tonysal123 » Wed Jul 20, 2016 7:57 pm

Im rebuilding a newly acquired Micromoog- cleaning the insides, lubing all the sliders/pots & staining the side panels. The only thing missing is the front nameplate, any ideas on getting a replacement?

Thx,
T

That's cool man! If you don't mind me asking ...

- what kind of lube do you use? lithium grease?

- how do you recommend removing the knobs without damaging them or the pot shafts?

- how do you clean the guts, dry Q-tip? tweezer? ... magically static-free vacuum?

I started to wipe the front plate of my Møther-32 with a Swiffer pad last week and noticed the Swiffer was leaving behind some kind of oily cleaner marks. Dry Kleenex tissue and/or cotton t-shirt removed it right away, though.

I used lithium grease

To remove the knobs, use a piece of string or two to help pull up each knob. Check out this link :

I use KemWipes with alcohol 99% pure to clean insides. And simple soapy water solution for the outside.
