MG1 Part needed

Post by electrojoe » Wed May 04, 2016 2:45 pm

Hello,
I am in need of the only un-obtainium part in the Moog MG1.
I am looking for a 100 ohm Tempco resistor.
One of them has gone out and the 1st oscillator will not stabilize.

Anyone have one, or know of a simple work around?

Thanks.

Just wire in a 1% 100R carbon film resistor and see how it flies.

Hi electrojoe.

Out of curiosity, were you able to obtain a fader kit so far?...

Thanks for the reply's,

I have tried a standard 100 ohm resistor, but the scale continues to change as the resistor can't adjust with the 3046 heat.

As for sliders,
This unit had the sliders replaced already.
Rather poorly, I had 2 issues due to poor installation.

I am pretty good at cleaning those, so that has not been a concern for me for a while.
Plus I have done a few replacement kits and have plenty of spares for broken shafts and resistor elements.
