Moog Drum to Control 2 Moogs at 1 time...an experiment!

Post by EricK » Thu Mar 23, 2006 2:10 pm

High.

As some of us know, the Moog drum has the accessory plug that only fits in the Micro, Mini, Sonic Six, the Multi and the Satellite.
It has a red CV Plug that will control the SCALE and a black regular output jack. It also has a C-J S-Trig plug.

Im going to connect the 1130 to the MicroMoog's power output, Im going to connect the black cord to the Micro and the Red cord to the Voyager and im going to see if i can trigger 2 moogs at the same time.

Ill let you knowhow it goes.

Eureka!

THe moog drum has a super long cord that has a wierd splice and then branches out into 4 parts. THe power pin, the C-J, and the 2 plugs.

THe only problem was that the cord was a little short so i had to tily the voyager back and do a back to back connection.

I connected the red CV plug to the pitch of the voyager.

THe red plug is connected to the SCALE knob. This is a touch sensitive knob that lets you hit the drum soft and it will play low notes, and harder for the higher notes.

I connected them both and the experiment was a success.

I didn't see whyit wasnt. Someone asked about it in an older thread so I thought I woudl give it a try and update it.

You guys should hear it though, 2 moogs doing 2 different things at 1 time. StereoMoog!
