Just when I decided I would be spending all my cash on modulars

[EDIT] Post title corrected - thanks!

Not MaxiBrute, MatrixBrute.

Meh, another mono synth. We need a real analog polyphonic (more than measly 6 voices) monster. Too bad Alesis went bankrupt with the Andromeda and never corrected the many bugs in the firmware.

Common Moog Music, where's the modern day version, 8 voices Memorymoog we're all waiting for ?

Looks like a logical progression over the Voyager, at least in terms of the controls.

Yeah, huh? I've always wanted an Expander or OB. I hope it's not three grand :/

Yep, DSI OB6, $2999.

I'll wait for an 8 voice version. 6 is not enough for me. Think about the voice stealing when playing pads or strings with long envelope release ! Yuk.

Nice to see Arturia dig in with a big analog synth like this.

Looks like a lot of fun and nice to have all that cv versatility.

^YouTube link to MatrixBrute promo. Some talk about the synth being drowned by the rest of the band, but I hear this as an honest mix for rock-prog.

To me (opinion only from here), it has the Arturia sound that I hear in the MircoBrute. After I get a big, thick mix going with the Sub37 and Slim Phatty the MicroBrute has this ability to sneak thru the mix as its own voice.

Cool synth.

Actually Mr. Alien sir, as Canadians we get to pay $4236.54CAD based on the present online conversion rate. When we go to the bank or use Visa or Paypal to make the payment the number will likely be close to $4500

Better be VERY happy with a synth before spending that kind of cash!

Yes indeed Flareless, our money isn't worth bleep these days. Not a good time to buy synths...

Honestly, the only not part of this that interests me at all, is the matrix. If someone would just make an input/output cv patchbay, with the matrix and some memory, it could do wonders for the modular world.

"What is The Matrix? Control."

Actually, that's a pretty cool idea. If done correctly and patched right it would give modular users the ability to have Presets.

Exactly. I had another idea to expand on it. A midi-in port to read program changes. Ideally the OS would be able to "link" it's presets with the preset of the exterior synth. So I could like "preset 7, bank A" on my voyager XL, with a specific matrix preset. Change preset on the voyager, the matrix follows, unless no link has been specified, then it holds its current state.
