I got an H9 unit (the standard one, not the max or the core) so I have the standard set of algorithms at my disposal. This thing is pretty awesome. Id love to hear from more experienced Eventide users about their favorite algorithms or presets.
I'm using mine with my Sub37.

Re: Eventide H9 Users
I just had a live performance last week and used the H9 on one of my three Moog Mother-32s. I used a slightly tweaked version of the "Centaurus" preset (from the "Blackhole" algorithm in Space.) I love this preset because it slowly bends the decay of the reverb tail downwards in pitch... very dark, yet musical. SO much more to explore with the H9, especially paired with any Moog synth!jsharpphoto wrote:I got an H9 unit (the standard one, not the max or the core) so I have the standard set of algorithms at my disposal. Re: Eventide H9 Users
My signal path is Sub 37 to MF-104m to H9 stereo outs. I think I need to bypass the 104m for a while until I get a better understanding of what I'm hearing from the H9

I have five H9's - one of them is a MAX, of course - I don't think there is any algorithm that isn't my favorite. These things just do so much, days go by and you're still using only a fraction of their powers.
FWIW, from my sig you can see I also have an H3000 D/SE, GTR4000, and an H8000FW. For digitial effects the potential for mayhem is endless, as well as sweet beauty.
The first thing I go for micropitch to fatten the sound up. Cavernous reverbs or many various delays are another first line option. Although I use the H9's mainly for guitar, to replace the multitude of single effect pedals I had accumulated, there are so many more things you can do with a synth that you might not consider for guitar; especially a mother-32 type.
Another nice thing is you can each audition algorithm you might like for 5 minutes a day. A great way to help you decide what next to get.
