Other synth forums?

Post by jsharpphoto » Sun Aug 09, 2015 9:13 am

Is there another synth forum that you guys participate on? Nothing against moog, for sure, but I would feel weird starting a thread to talk about my new MS-20m or Dreadbox or Koma gear, on the moog site, unless it was specifically related to their moog interaction.

I don't have modular gear, so that rules out Muff Wiggler.

Some forums have a lot of erroneous info. VintageSynth.com may have a lot of activity but is one I avoid.

Yeah, that's a pretty bad one. More gossip and rumours than actual verifiable facts.

I think I will hit up gearsluts. I think the dialog I'm looking for would be best from a brand-neutral platform.

Thanks. Also, my new MS-20m plays very very well with my Cl-251

If you're on reddit, hit up www.reddit.com/r/synthesizers. There's a great synth community over there...

It's main focus is modular but there is a whole lot more going on. Here are some sub-forums on Muff's that aren't specifically 'modular':

General Gear
Any music gear discussions that don't fit into one of the other forums.

Guitars, Basses, Amps & FX
A place for the string slingers, pedal freaks and amp snobs in our midst.

Music Software
Reaktor, MAX/MSP, VST/AU, etc. A place for all things soft....

Music Tech DIY
From circuitbending to homebrew stompboxes & synths, keep the DIY spirit alive!

Video Synthesis
Discussion of modular and standalone video generating/processing techniques and associated hardware.

Artist Discussion
Discuss the music that you love to hear.

Production Techniques
Discuss everything related to production, recording, composition, etc.

Synth Noise
Discussing gear, production, and ideas for making noise music. Enough JMJ, let's rock like Merzbow!

Your Tunes Here
A place to post links to your music, upload tracks and promote yourself.
John L Rice
MiniMoog, MinitMoog, MG-1, Sub Phatty, 5U modulars, Eurorack modulars
