Synth through Guitar Amp

Quick question.

I've got a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 18, which I love for guitar. One thing I want to try doing is running a synth with a pretty good Electric Piano patch that I got through it to try and color it up a bit.

Now, I've read that this can/will damage the speakers/cab, so what I'm doing is using the direct out from the amp into the mixer and using a pair of (cheapish but pretty good) headphones. Will this damage the amplifier itself, or any of my guitar effects, in any way, shape or form?

Sorry for what probably is a very ignorant question, but I'm very apprehensive since it's a new guitar amp.

Synthesizers can produce very low frequency sounds that might damage some guitar amp speakers if played at higher volumes. Guitar amps are designed to work best for mid-range frequencies. Good luck.
