Moog to release modules this year

While I can appreciate correctness in communications (I have the hardest time NOT correcting people that sound like a cow when pronouncing "Moog" ) it is very common to refer to 3.5mm jacks and plugs as 1/8" and has been so for a very long time.

Not this side of the pond it hasn't. Never heard anything but 3.5mm and I'm from the Imperial units era before we went SI.

Oh, and I say Moog as spelled, not with an invisible 'w'.

A great announcement indeed, yes MOOG those insanely high prices signify one thing... is that you will drive business into the hands of other modular manufacturers whose systems are better priced.
Only the worlds top 1% rich people will only be able to afford these things. Moog is a great company, but come on you are shooting yourselves in the foot!!

Back in the real world, all I could afford were 2 Moog Slim Phattys which I have marveled for their purity of the "Moog Sound" I use the 2 Moog Slim Phattys poly sync'd with a Roland Jupiter 50 and NI Massive, Reaktor Monarch, Razor, and Kontour. (Also creating "Sounds never heard before".. quote from Modular movie.)

911 Envelope Generators: At the introduction of a switch-to-ground {S-trigger} trigger signal from an external source, the 911 Envelope Generator produces a single voltage contour whose time/voltage variation is determined by potentiometers T1, T2, T3 and a time constant sustaining level pot {Esus}. Closure of the input trigger switch directs the voltage contour to T3 {final decay} regardless of what stage { T1, T2 or E} was in current operation. The Envelope Generator requires an S-trigger to operate. External sources must be converted to the S-trigger format.

I think its wonderful that Moog are reissuing and no doubt improving the old modulars.It is not the time to complain about some social justice issue on the unfairness of the price or the economic demographic snapping these up. They will be snapped up if not already preordered. Good on Moog, its about time. I wish I could afford one.
