Emerson Mod to 905 Reverberation

Post by ualslosar » Mon Oct 13, 2014 2:45 pm

Hi -
The Emerson Moog offered includes the modifications requested by Emerson. One of the units modified is 905 reverberation modules.

*** Unique to Keith Emerson’s Original System ***

• Standard Moog 905 module
• PCB created from original factory trace layout films
• Internal standard 6” reverberation tank replaced with RCA jacks on rear of module to connect to external reverberation tank
• Additional audio input jack added
Wet/Dry mix front panel control modified to provide wet mix only (dry signal is always passed through unaffected)

- I can find & install a 6" reverb tank, but how is the module revised so that Wet/Dry mix front panel control modified to provide wet mix only (dry signal is always passed through unaffected).

I haven't a clue where to start with this, but it seems like it would be a simple mod to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you
Larry

It would involve taking the in/out wires from the dual gang potentimeter (wiper and one end of the track - not the ground side)... on the "dry" half and simply shorting them together permanently. Leaving the 'wet' signal still running through the pot's other half.

Actually you could install a switch so you could switch between the two modes.
Interesting - I might do this mod myself.... :D

Cheers,
Tom

Thank you very much for the response.

Looks like any easy mod to do.

Thanks again
