Moog Model D + Solina String Ensemble MK I

Hello Moog People! I'm having a problem and was hoping one of you fine people could help.

I've been trying to run the output of my String Ensemble through the input of my Model D.
Instead of holding down a key I wanted to try using the gate or trigger outputs on the Solina to trigger the filter envelope.

I tried both outputs on the Solina and the Moog Trigger input, but to no avail.
Does anybody on the board have got experience with this, and could give me some pointers how to make this work? Thanks in advance!

Hi, probably you have to convert the gate of the Solina to a Moog compatible S-Trig. Schemos can be found everywhere on the web, assuming that the Solina provides a standard voltage gate out.

Not the greatest authority as I don't have a Solina, but Solina was imported as an Arp product so it would presumably be an Arp signal, presumably a standard sort of gate out (though "trig" sometimes can be a head scratcher if a builder is serious and really and only means a short pulse, but I'm guessing you have a gate on the Solina)

The Mini uses an S-Trig which isn't the same standard as any of that. Maybe a both Solina & Moog owner could confirm their solution. There are definitely gate to s-trig solutions out there. watch though the direction. There are also s-trig to gate circuits.

Hello both!
Thank you so much for your feedback, this is already very helpful.
I found schematics for gate to S-Trig circuits, but am wondering what kind of values for the parts should be used.
I'm attaching an excerpt of the Solina schematics, would you be able to figure out what type of signal is available on the trigger and gate outputs of the Solina based on this? Or would I be able to somehow measure this with the multimeter?
Again, thanks a lot for your help!
