The Werkstatt 01: Moogfest 2014 Kit is a patchable and compact one oscillator analog synthesizer. It was originally created as a kit to be the foundation for exclusive 'Engineering VIP' workshops at the Moogfest 2014 festival. Due to a number of requests, Moog is offering a no-soldering-required version of the Werkstatt 01: Moogfest 2014 Kit in limited quantities.

Assembly is extremely simple: any user can quickly build an analog synthesizer based on classic Moog circuits and, if desired, modify it. Werkstatt was created to be an educational tool, but it is also a very powerful, compact analog synthesizer from Moog.

Werkstatt is 100% US made.

First post.
...and I just preordered my first Moog from Sweetwater! I'm really looking forward the the werkstatt!

I'm curious if anyone knows: There does not seem to be a headphone jack, or a volume control... Does that mean that I'll need to run it through a mixer or maybe a Kaoss-pad in order to play with headphones?

Thanks!

Is it possible to use Werkstatt in Europe too? I'm asking because of the voltage.

I got this message:
I'm sorry to inform you that we are unable to ship Moog products outside of the USA. Please contact your local Moog dealer for more information regarding the purchase of a Werkstatt. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
and this one (from another dealer)
Unfortunately, we are only authorized to ship our products within the United States.
So I learned that a US company is not free to sell an US product (a Moog product) outside the USA??? Is there any reason for this?
And why I got the information about the availability - direct form Moog? So how can I order one...

Really strange
:(

There are probably legal reasons for this. Also, the very limited number of units available might not help matters.

But why would anyone, who already own a Voyager XL, a Sub Phatty, a Theremin, multiple Moogerfoogers, a GRP A4, would want such a simple toy soooo badly ?

Buy yourself a Korg MS20 re-edition and you'll get twice the number of oscillators, twice the number of filters, better envelopes, a more complete patch bay, and a better keyboard...
Or maybe the complete set of Volca mini synths (for about the same price as the Werkstatt).

Of course you wouldn't get a genuine Moog ladder filter and a genuine Moog sound, but you already have that in spades.

I doubt it, even though I'm just a few hundred miles away from Moog Music.
If they say that they don't ship internationally, that usually includes Canada too.
