For transporting, yes I'd prefer it was tilted at a much smaller angle.

In a studio, who cares.

Amos sums it up well: it's a monophonic synth that can play two separate notes at a time.

Now, the question is, and I hope I could be right, is it a step towards a future Sub 61 Polyphonic ? Because now with the Sub 37 Tribute they already have a polyphonic scanning keyboard hardware...

But my biggest thumbs-up to Moog Music is the price range of this new Sub 37 Tribute synth !! I was expecting about $500 more than the announced price of below $1.5K ! Great looks, great features, great sounds, great price. It's a sure winner !

It looks great. I appreciate that they seem to have been scouring the forum for feedback and implemented them.

Now please put those looping envelope generators and VCA in a CP format.

Amos - buddy, pal, mate, if you put shuffle on the Sub 37 Arp could you please also put it into the Taurus 3 arp… and if it's it not to much to ask, while you're in there, can we add another option to make the arp "off beat" e.g.: tempo synced 1/8th arp triggering notes on the off beat only, or just the last two out of a set of triplets etc?
if you notice in the video there NO ins and outs so don't rule it out yet

True. even the only other picture I saw was cut so that the in out bay is not visible... mysterious.

Damn, the price!!!
Thank you Moog. And thanks to every SubPhatty buyer: that's a bit thanks to you that this one has born.

My jaw was in my lap throughout that video. Moog have done something really special with this one. I will buy one, and I can't wait to touch one in person. :D

I don't know, there is something wrong with the subP's price i paid a month ago, considering all those new stuff on the sub 37 for less than 1500 … How can it be ?

I second that - true to their philosophy they stand with their customers.

I also second that CP style VCA gen. It has a place in the market. I'm currently building my own to mount in a pedal board, much more simple tho.
Vibration emanates from all things, even nothing. Using awareness to translate vibration into "music" is something that I am whole heartedly grateful for.

So I bought a Sub Phatty (to keep my Slim Phatty company) two weeks ago. And now this. :?

Confound it Moog, you seem to have got it spectacularly right with this one. And since I can't bear the thought of parting with the Slim or the Sub it seems I'll be ending up with another of your products. :D

After watching that Sonic State video the only thing it seems to lack is the ability to use one of the oscillators as a mod source to do FM, although if it's like the Sub Phatty the LFO's will go into the audio rage and track the keyboard, so near enough.

Well, the fellow said "The plan is to street for under $1,500 USD..."

If he is off by $100, not too much of a big deal and note the use of the word STREET. Moog product are often on the 'exclusion' list when it comes to discount coupons and are most often, priced at list, unless there is a coordinated special. Don't be shocked to see it come out at $1,649, with $1,499 pre-order price somewhere... maybe. In the past, Nova*Musik (the OLD NovaMusik) would often package things like expression pedals or covers, etc. and sell @ the base price of the synth itself.

Slightly related, but I bought a pair of Yamaha monitors recently and EVERYBODY had the same price. But one outfit threw in a pair of MoPads and a balanced cable... I jumped and bought from them.

I'm speaking out of turn with zero information, just guesses based on the two key words: a) PLAN b) STREET

Wow, flat out amazing. You've done it again, Moog! I love my Sub Phatty, but I will be first in line to order or pre-order this once more information regarding its debut comes out. Can't wait!!!

Usually, the expression "street price" refers to the actual discounted asking price in stores. The "list price" is the MSRP proposed by the manufacturer, and most often then not, it is reduced by big stores that can buy more than one or two at a time and get a better deal.

So the "list price" in this case might be $1.7K but we'll likely see it advertised for close to $1.5K in some stores.

My two cents on it...
