New Products you'd like to see at NAMM 2014

Post by archer » Tue Jan 14, 2014 1:25 am

I'd personally like to see a Moog Analog Drum machine. Something that could give the linndrum, 808, 909, tempest and machinedrum a run for their money,

Ideally, I'd like 1 knob (or button) per function, or at least minimal menu diving (something that would greatly improve upon the tempest). Great samples and the ability to create unique drum sounds, and a sexy look. add in a simple sequencer and I'm sold!

A Sub Phatty with knobs for all of the major hidden functions and a Voyager sized keyboard. I know it wont' happen (at least for a few years) but it would be nice!

200w Stereo tube amplifier and something that isn't a repackage of what is already made.

Each year we are asked the same thing, and each year I answer: a modern version of the Memorymoog with minimum 8 voices.
And each year people are saying the same thing to me: don't keep your hopes up, the cost would be prohibitive.

So this year I'll simply say: a brass Cosmo type Moog knob that we can buy for $10. (since I've never received mine...)
Moog Minimoog D (1975)
DSI OB6
DSI Prophet REV2
Oberheim Matrix-6
Ensoniq SQ-80
Korg DW8000
Behringer DeepMind 12
Alesis Ion

the 37? i can only hope so! if Moog do that ....it will be yet another hit on their hands. I will be really impressed if they read the market that well. most times, manufacturers just miss the boat and dont get what their next product should be or listen closely enough to their customers. I would be so impressed...
