This panel of speakers is worth the $199 five day pass I think! I can't wait to see how everything falls into place!

...agreed~ it's already looking better than the last one! ~ I'm very curious about the 'engineer' package
"Two x 3-hour synth building workshops with the Moog engineers where you will have the opportunity to build, modify, and take home your unreleased Moog synthesizer." ~ are any Moog engineers here in the forum able to tell us how much previous experience we'd need and what kind of synth we end up with?

Has anyone seen if there is any collaboration with the BMF for this Moogfest?

I think they were at mountain oasis this year, unfortunately do to recent events I don't think we can expect them at moog fest.

That webpage doesn't format very pretty under IE8/WIN7. Will have to check Safari on my mac at home.

Now that the subject of Moogfest has come up, I've a question based on things posted on other forums.

Basically it's been said that Moogfest only has the Moog name and isn't organised by Moog. I wonder if this is true or not?

Thanks. I suppose it all depends on what `partnership' means. The term `co-produced' is used, which does suggest more than just a separate company providing publicity and venue organising. But it also suggests Moog are still involved, which is more than what was being said on the other forum, where it was claimed Moog had nothing to do with it.

The original partnership moog had with another promotion company (I don't recall the name) to organize the last few moog fest ended last year and that company continued a concert/synthesizer fest called mountain oasis that took place this past Halloween weekend (the BMF did take part in that fest I believe) and as mentioned above, moog music is involved with the "new" moog fest happening in April. I don't know what company they are working with to organize it but it is most definitely something moog could not do on their own.
