what should moog release next?

I asked a price offert last year at MOOG CE and for a MOOG System 55 clone it was more than $25,000 !!! Thanks but I'm still married...

A Moog Modular would be nice..they could do it cheaper than MOOG CE...Their almost there with the moogerfoogers..it wouldn't be too great a leap...

I think there are so many other modular systems to buy into now like MOTM, Doepfer, dotCom, etc. What would be the point? I would like to see them come up with more innovative analogue creations. The MURF. What a crazy pedal! How about a comb filter pedal with a bunch of CV mods and a built-in ADSR EG?

Yes, MOTM is a great choice for modular synthesizer, their VCO's are above any of the others. You can get a really nice system for about $2000-2500, also there are so many ones to mix and match with like Dotcom, Blacet... but i prefer Modcan. They (Modcan) have also just came out with a new analog sequencer not sure on the price but it looks pretty nice.

I'm sure it would work. Modcan interfaces (v/oct) are pretty standard.

Both have their pros/cons, depending on the application.

This sequencer can be clocked ultrafast to turn it into an oscillator - the "waveshape" is the sequence levels. It's a lot easier to visualize the waveshape with sliders.

or a prodigy-esk cheap moog for the masses!!!!

so the range would have the voyager (flagship), minimoog2, prodigy2 ????

Hi,

the Serge TKB is a really cool sequencer. It can be clocked at audio rates, so you can actually turn the knobs to specific positions and a new waveform is thus made. Also, it is a workaround to provide hard synchronization as the one in the NTO module is actually soft.

Point your web browsers at www.infectionmusic.co.uk and see what the Zeit and Phaedra sequencers are. Really good stuff.
