I've been playing it all evening, and it sounds f'ing golden, to me! When I saw the original pictures posted, I didn't think it looked very cool, but it looks totally radical in person, like something you'd find in the original "clash of the titans" or in the house of a Saudi prince, if you know what I mean!

I really thought that they would notify whomever won it in advance, so it's kind of wild that I was reading about myself when I read that they had a winner. They said that the guys at "switched on" told them what a dork I am for Moog stuff, and that they could be sure that I would be there if they asked me to play for free, with me knowing that the moog folks would be in town for SXSW. I totally behaved as predicted

The picture on the home page of the moog site of me with the synth was taken after I chugged like 5 beers in an hour, BTW. I felt so crazy after they announced it that I really felt like I needed a drink, and, in addition to the big prize, they bought me a ton of drinks, which was pretty cool

It could have easily felt weird and corporate or something, I imagine, but those guys are so genuine and personable, that it was just a really fun time. For me, half of the fun was definitely just getting to know the moog guys a bit.

Anyways, gotta go play with goldie now. . .
