Congratulations tommyecho :!: You are such a freaking lucky dog :!:

I wanted to win that “Golden” Voyager so badly…

But, I’m glad that at least another Moog fan and synthesist actually won it. It would have been an absolute shame if someone won it who didn’t even know what a music synthesizer was (much less a Moog synth).

So, do your best to enjoy and cherish this very unique and extraordinary treasure.

Will do, varice, will do. . .

I've been playing it all evening, and it sounds f'ing golden, to me! When I saw the original pictures posted, I didn't think it looked very cool, but it looks totally radical in person, like something you'd find in the original "clash of the titans" or in the house of a Saudi prince, if you know what I mean!

I really thought that they would notify whomever won it in advance, so it's kind of wild that I was reading about myself when I read that they had a winner. They said that the guys at "switched on" told them what a dork I am for Moog stuff, and that they could be sure that I would be there if they asked me to play for free, with me knowing that the moog folks would be in town for SXSW. I totally behaved as predicted

The picture on the home page of the moog site of me with the synth was taken after I chugged like 5 beers in an hour, BTW. I felt so crazy after they announced it that I really felt like I needed a drink, and, in addition to the big prize, they bought me a ton of drinks, which was pretty cool 8)

It could have easily felt weird and corporate or something, I imagine, but those guys are so genuine and personable, that it was just a really fun time. For me, half of the fun was definitely just getting to know the moog guys a bit.

Anyways, gotta go play with goldie now. . . 8)

That’s such a cool story, truly epic :!:

And what a great way for Moog Music to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Voyager with this fantastic giveaway…
