Re: prototype
Looks pretty promising! One knob per function is always a good thing IMO!

Re: prototype
Looks like Moog are stepping in old footprints (sounds like my old Rogue!) probably no memories, with MIDI
twin oscillators with overdrive (as Moog used to call it) If its back to basics - my predictions for a standard Minimoog D (with seperate LFO) just might come true!

Re: prototype
well, looks like no poly this time either. hopefully this new instrument will be on par with other successful Moog synths. Seems kind of like a memoryless mini-voyager with knob-per-function, updated overdrive circuit, new oscillator design, sub oscillator, and noise generator. Did anyone notice how the housing for the mod wheel and pitch bend is identical to the one on the LP?
Also, I hope they come up with a nice name for it. Little Phatty was bad enough... Slim Phatty, oh man.
My guesses: "Mini Voyager," "Centaur."
In the end, all that matters is the music you make with it anyway.

Re: prototype
Looks like Moog's answer to the Minibrute - one knob per function, no presets, sub oscillator, drive, etc.
Re: prototype
Since i see the output cables at the right side of the keyboard, to me is like a Mini-LP. A perfect complement to the minitaur. If it's US$700-850 street price, then is ok to me.
Re: prototype
I could only wish that this new little moog would be half as versatile as a 40 year old EML Electro-Comp 101. Like the ability to re-route the signal path, duo-phonic, accept an external sound source, a ring mod. Even a built in case would be sweet. Guess I'll have to adopt a wait and see attitude and see what this new little guy has to offer.
May peace be your guide

Can anyone enhance photos?

Re: prototype
This may very well be spot on if you compare it to the video.

Re: prototype
I wonder... Midi? If so, I'll sell my Minibrute right now for one of these...
Re: prototype
I see Arturia losing a lot of business to this thing...
Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.
Re: prototype
Maybe. Hard to imagine Moog throwing a cheap synth together that would be cheaper than a minitaur.Voltor07 wrote:I see Arturia losing a lot of business to this thing...
