The eyes man. And that same indentation on both sides of the nose that Rastafarians get. It's telltale as far as I'm concerned.

Back to the topic... :)

Well, I've posted several variants of this theme on this forum over the years. Seems like Moog forgot about the serious droners again!

I can't see it from the various photos or the video, but I'll bet you anything that there's no "always on" option.

Ain't there on the Phatty. Ain't there on the Minitaur. Just the old "use a pedal in a jack to keep it on Sustain" fix.

The Arp Odyssey had "initial gain" on the VCA. The MG-1 had the "always on" switch (I forgot its actual name on the switch on the MG-1). The newer Vermona Lancet has the "always on" switch. But again, I'm willing to bet that the Sub Phatty won't has this ability. I'll be surprised, when I finally see the full thing in a photo, I'm keeping optimistic.

Regarding Suzanne Ciani...

A client once brought over some Buchlas for repair.
I serviced them and they left.
A few years later, I looked at some of the pics I took of these synths and realized one was custom-made and looked like one Ciani used to use.
So I wrote her and sent the photos.
She confirmed that the one in question was a unit that was stolen from her decades before in New York.
Insurance covered it I think, but it must have been a drag for her back when it happened.

Shame that Ciani lost that Buchla. While I do appreciate the Buchla concept of compact dense systems, they are more vulnerable to theft than a Moog modular.

Thieves usually work solo and grab anything that one person can easily carry covertly - mics, cymbals, guitar amp heads, guitars, pedals, small keyboards, etc. For every theft my friends have suffered, they lost the stuff that fits the compact category.

What do we lose here using this trick of putting a pedal jack, or simply a dummy plug/adapter into the GATE CV vs. using something like e.g. the Voyager's External/Keyboard switch?

If it follows along the same philosophy of the Minitaur there's a good chance it has presets.

I am in shock but no awe. I have been dreaming of a full knob job Phatty for a long time. But 25 keys is a deal breaker for me. Brilliant product though, should sell a'plenty.
