This is my take on the theme, a tribute to the Gershon Kingsley WGBH Boston logo.
Happy New Year everyone!

Re: NPR All Things Considered Theme Interpretation
Sorry, but I found this logo to be nothing the same as WGBH's logo except that it's a synth with a sequencer.
The NPR theme uses a sequencer slowly sped up and then filtered away.
Very easy to do. 5 mins on a modular using three modules.
Kingsley would likely be insulted if this was offered as a "tribute."
The WGBH logo is an equal time sequence with more oscillators added along, then a crescendo of strings at the end.
It's also roughly sync'd to the logo animation which, NPR being a radio program, didn't have to accomplish.

Also there's the old PBS theme.

This is a downward env and LFO (sqrwave) feeding a vco, followed by some notes then a "pad" sort of sound on the lead out.
I used to do this on a Paia modular when I was about 13.
