Replacing unknown VU meter lamps?
Have burnt out VU meter bulbs. I heard somewhere that you could send some company the bulbs and they will replace them, but can't remember the company. These bulbs have no markings or any ratings in the manual (otari mx70) at all, and the part number is specific top otari. Can anyone steer me to a solution?

Try your local hobby shop that sells trains. I got my tubular lamps from Walthers. ( a major hobby supplier )

Do you have access to the schematics, either hard copy or online? If so, at least you might be able to get the lamp rating, and that would make your search a bit easier.

As guidance, you could measure the voltage arriving on the wires leading to the lamp, to get an idea of the voltage rating ?
