Americankiwi, nice of you to thank Kevin publicly (which he fully deserves, I agree wholeheartedly), but you could at least have proofread your thread title ? It's Lightner, not Lighter.

No worries on the post title.
I'm sure most people got it and I'm very grateful for the post.
Thank you very much!!

Btw Alien, I'm also flattered that after I put up a Krusty the Clown avatar, you put up one as Side Show Bob.
I forewarn you though, I tend to change icons often.

In fact, one of my favorite Simpsons character is sea captain Horatio McCallister (created by Conan O'Brien) and my favorite quote from him is: " Arr, I don't know what I'm doin' ...".

Yes, Kevin has provided much wisdom, knowlege, parts, labor, and time to many of us in this forum. He is a huge asset to the world of analog synthesis. Kevin, whether you know it or not, you will leave a lasting legacy on this planet, in much the same way Robert Moog left his legacy on this planet. That is certainly something to be proud of, even though you are the most humble person I know. :D

Thanks, but nahhhh! ;-)

None of us are all that important.
Billions of years came before us and billions more are ahead.
We're just little flashes of light that last a comparative fraction of a second.
Personally, I feel like we're living in the middle ages.
There's so much ahead we'll never see.
Anyway, thanks!

I repair, restore and mod vintage analog synths and other musical gear. (API gear, high end amps and effects.)
Pretty unglamorous.
But it's not so easy any longer to find techs that have decades of experience and attention to small details.

What Kevin forgets to mention, probably out of humility, is that he has contributed a lot to this forum in sharing his vast knowledge and experience with members here and has always tried to help out others the best he can. He his truly passionate about what he does, and it shows.

Of course, he's certainly not the only one here who does that. That's why I keep coming back, because it's an interesting forum with dedicated, interesting and helpful people like him. Kudos to all the others, too! :D
