Enjoyed it. You weren't actually trying to tune at 5min were you?
I think that's when I noticed I was out of tune and went with it! Left the B string de-tuned for a couple of days before I remembered. Did I pull on it too hard? It is a fairly new string, might have been the first time I subjected it to regular playing conditions...

That's hilarious!! There was so much stuff going on, I thought " he can't possibly be trying to tune through all of that? "

Pretty neat! What did you do the voices with?

I heard a twisted Gary Numan in the intro riff

Ahahaha - I just watched it and it does look like I'm somehow tuning in the midst of the sample-and-hold/delay madness!

I received a very kind and helpful email from someone here letting me know my CP-251 is patched all wrong! Also on how to process external audio with the Sirin. That's my next experiment - getting that worked out, wanted this to be a Sirin-heavy track, there will be future versions! And thanks for listening as always.

Thanks :) Which Gary Numan track do you refer to? The intro and rythm part is made of an old record of a Kimball Paradise Organ rythm section of a friend, and the voices come from a mellotron vst plugin. All other tracks are done with my System 55 clone, especially with my T960. The transposing of the sequencer single shots is done by my T950 keyboard clone and my TCP3A control voltage mixer.

Ah, it reminded me of the instrumental break in "cars"

Approx 52 seconds:

That's quite amazing you built that thing! Sounds great

That is a major honor for me. Gary Numan is one of my childhood heroes (...and I saw a 960 in one of his YouTube studio tours, if I remember correctly... :) )

What's about you? Are you active in music production and / or DIY?

I am currently DIY'ing some Oakley dual VCA modules, for a 5U system. Most of my modules were built by Lower West Side Studios in Canada: based on Oakley, Catgirl, Barton, Yusynth etc

I haven't had a chance to do much with it yet

So I finally managed to process audio through my Sirin! Not as cohesive a piece, but had fun messing around:

Found a pic of the patch - I think I got it right this time!

Image

Wasn't able to activate drone mode, don't have the right cable to use the editor, couldn't find something that I could jam between the keys, so I put a small heavy mic stand on the keyboard! That's why there's a mic in the video, it was actually plugged in but I ended up turning it off anyway.

Will post in the Minitaur/Sirin section about the ext. in issues I had.

No need for the editor: you can find the DRONE MODE combo in the cheat sheet, available on MoogMusic website.

As far as keeping a key down, I wrote lately on another topic that I use this trick ;)

Why not? You are setting up a modular system, don't you?
