Here's a new album I just released. It's done entirely using the Sub 37, a Mother-32, voice and cassette loops. Hope you enjoy it!

This one starts with my Voyager. At 1 min 12 seconds in I switch over to a DSI Prophet 8. The crazy part at 2 minutes in is a Little Phatty. At 2 min 30 seconds the Prophet returns. I close it out with the Voyager from about 2 min 58 seconds till the end.

Here is a set from my band. We recorded the tuning so sorry about that. Our approach is total improvisation so we like to record from the very start.

Finally something new to post! Basically a bass & drum jam, added some Moog Rogue for flavour:

https://soundcloud.com/hieronymous-seve ... re-squared

Alembic Stanley Clarke Signature Squared through 3Leaf GR-2 envelope filter signed by Bootsy Collins into Damnation Audio MBD-1 bass overdrive (fairly clean but with killer bass boost - no EQ otherwise); the Rogue in both its roles is through a Budda Zen Drive at varying settings; drums by Greg DeGuglielmo providing the shape of the piece and recorded probably 10 years ago, recorded at Oxbow Studios in Massachusetts by Damon Burke. Not synth heavy but hope you enjoy!

A small funny experiment with two analog synths.

REV2 and OB6.

nice, alien666!

do you find the rev2 & OB6 are different enough to justify owning both?

I have been trying to decide on a poly synth and the OB6 has been a prime candidate. that or maybe a prophet12

Thanks ummagumma !

Yes, they're both different (especially the filters) and having them is great. Of course the REV2 has more modulation possibilities, but the OB6 makes up for it with sound. That's not to say that the REV2 sounds inferior, far from it, just another flavor.

The P12 is, from what I've gathered, a very different beast altogether. I wouldn't mind have all three. But I need to eat and pay the bills...

If you like the "Oberheim" sound, the OB6 will deliver. If you want an amazingly versatile sound palette, with tons of control, then the P12 might do the trick.

I went with the REV2-16 because mainly for the fact that it has "warmer" oscillators (despite being DCOs) than the P12 (from what I heard in many demos), and its high value/price ratio.

Admittedly, the OB6 isn't cheap for a six voice polysynth. That's why I went with the desktop (module) version that I control with an old Oberheim Matrix-6 used as a MIDI keyboard controller, fittingly, with the bonus of having 5 octaves instead of 4.

And before you ask, no, the Matrix-6 doesn't sound nowhere near the OB6. It doesn't even sound as good as the REV2 either, despite having similar Curtis chips.

Anyway, all my synths are dwarfed by my vintage monophonic 1975 Minimoog D when I play it along with them... 8) :D

Got hold of an Analogue Solutions Treadstone, a tiny little monosyth and this was the first thing I came up with.

it's multi tracked in Logic with no processing, mastering or effects, just as recorded straight form the synth:)

I was farting around with DUSGs and some other toys when the sounds emanating forth from my modular beast transported my mind back into the old arcade days of the late '70s and early '80s.

The piece is a combination of modular, slab and soft synths ( :woah: ).
