That's exactly, and I mean exactly, how I recorded all my drumming videos on YouTube ! Except that my PC tower I built in back in 2002... :D

Hi Tom,

Two were used... Alesis Microverb2 - reverb, and a Lexicon - repeat echo.

Thank you mate.

I thought the FX sounded good in the two You Tube videos (regardless of what they were/are!).

I have the MX200 LEXICON (with memory/LCD), not sure if that is the same as yours?

You did a good job there with the SOUND quality of the video! I was looking at camcorders with AUDIO IN but they start at 400GBP!

Yes, you even used the same camera shot/angle in your MINIMOOG video as Tom did! lol

https://soundcloud.com/snafulocaz/live- ... e-jam-demo

Live hardware jam using Moog Sub 37 and Moog 104M Delay with lots of delay and reverb, Elektron Analog Rytm and Octatrack. Mostly improvised apart from pre-creating the patches, quite messy, not decided what it's supposed to/going to be. Hell I've used the Analog Rytm but there's no drums. This was my first day of working out how to get the 104M Midi synced with everything else and getting carried away.

The pressing record and see what happens method is a new approach for me and much more productive even if it yields some un-usable results (the lfo on the Rytm sample slot may have been a bit over the top), it yields some fun ones.

A mini cover of a nice song by Dépêche Mode called Blue Dress from the album Violator.
Not a 100% faithful cover, but rather a wink...
Done on Minimoog D (bass and "voice"), Alesis Ion (chords), and DR-880 (with TR-808 kit). All played by hand following the drum machine.
Enjoy !

Very nice. Good audio quality also, considering the transfer from a 28 year old cassette. What synth did you use for the solo line near the end?

Thanks DonutDude!

In order of appearance if memory serves me:

The dog/wolf howls is Roland MKS-50 preset B83 ‘Dog Bark’ I used some pitch bending on it

The ‘wind’ sound I’m pretty sure is Mini Moog Model D

The sort of gong/deep bell sound is a Roland S-10 sampler with a sample I made of part of an old coffee percolator.

The strings . . . the first strings to enter are one of the Roland MKS-50 presets but through out the piece I think there are also Roland S-10 sampler strings and possibly some strings from a Yamaha TX81z also?

The massive bass is Mini Moog Model D of course! ;-)

The soft bell line is a Yamaha TX81z preset I think, probably from bank D (or Roland MKS-50?)

The acoustic guitar is from a Roland S-10 sampler.

The noise burst (supposed to be “lightning crack/thunder”! ;-) is sort of interesting. This is from a modified PAiA 4750 LFO/Noise module. I was experimenting with different noise transistors and I happened to try a zener diode that was in a transistor like package. (the noise circuit only used two of the three transistor leads so the diode was try-able) I put a switch on the front panel select the normal transistor or the zener diode. And I found that by switching to the zener would cause a burst sound that would die out in a sort of random way.

The lead solo line at the end is Yamaha TX81z preset C20 ‘Lyrisyn’

The drums are from a Roland TR-505 drum machine, played by hand via MIDI on the Roland S-10 keyboard.

I think the only effect unit I had at the time was a Yamaha SPX90 which was used for reverb and possibly chorus on the guitar sample.

Mixing board was a Studiomaster 8 Into 4

Any resemblance with the original is just an illusion...

Many synthesizer tracks of Minimoog D, Korg Mono/Poly, Alesis Ion...

Enjoy this classic from the eighties.
