It was created on a sound module that I don't have anymore.
I re sequenced it using my current hardware:
* Moog Little Phatty (first sound you can hear)
* Moog Slim Phatty (middle part)
* Yamaha AN1x (together with the Slim Phatty)
* Roland Sound Canvas for the drums and other sounds.

Enjoy!

very very nice. :D

hello all.

I'd like to share this track with you - a lot of emotion went into this piece.

The Moog used here is the Little Phatty Tribute Edition, on bass. Other instruments include the Nord Wave (pads), Nord lead 3 (melody that complements vocals), Nord Drum 2 (drums), Waldorf Blofeld ("arpeggio"/lighter-sounding melody/sequence), Oberheim SEM (squelchy FX sound). The track, titled "Summer (The Girls in the Hall)" has a sort of New Wave/"Shoegaze" feel to it, I suppose.

The way I write music is that I take a photograph, then write a track related to the image. For the specific kind of art I do, a genre I call "Unrealism," this is the connection I typically make. Visual = Sounds. And so much more...

When I sell the photo, the buyer receives the soundtrack (which is the name I give the "songs" that accompany each non-moving picture I take) and all digital files are deleted. At that point, the song lives, in its original form, only as long as the hard copy.

Thanks in advance to anyone who listens. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hey man. I dig the track. Got a very cool sort of roxy music vibe, or something like that. Nice going.

very cool. def one of my favorite things to do is play the moog, no click, no particular constraints, just let the moog go where it wants to go.

cheers.

@therealrx

thank you very much for listening, my friend. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

As I mentioned in the other post, I put a lot of myself into that track, and if you don't feel something when you write music, then you're not writing music.

again, thanks. God bless.

Hi everyone :)

I've been reading this forum for a while and I thought it's good time to introduce myself... and best way to do this would be by presenting some music :)

Recently I was working on production of my band's EP.
We're called Robot House and we're from Wroclaw (Poland).

Very good my man! ;-)

I would be interested to hear about any FX you applied to the MEMORYMOOG in the first video please? I started a thread earlier this evening if you might be kind enough to chip in.

Equally, I would love to know how you made the You Tube video please? Did you have/use a CAMCORDER with an in-built condensor-mic? Or does it have a direct Audio-In?

Best,

Paul

Tom, your Memorymoog sounds really sweet !! :D

Here's a little afternoon jam, experimenting with a little FM on the Minimoog. Enjoy.

Paul,

I think the effects were basically the same on both video's... maybe levels slightly altered...!?
Two were used... Alesis Microverb2 - reverb, and a Lexicon - repeat echo.

As far as the video goes, I only have a really crappy old Hi-8 camera which I link to a capture card in my ancient PC tower I built in 2000..!
The audio though is indeed direct - straight from my desk into the PC. I use 'Virtual Dub' to record the take.

Cheers,
Tom
