About me
My name is Rizal Khan. I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I go by the name RK1. I am an electronic dance producer. I am influenced by many types of music. On a broad level, they include heavy metal, rock, alternative rock, and of course electronic music amongst others. My favourite electronic acts include The Prodigy (whom influenced me to produce my own tracks), Leftfiled, Hybrid, Infected Mushrooms, Skrillex and Chemical Brothers. I also like other forms of EDM, particularly dubstep, trap, trance and house.

Equipment used :- Moog Voyager and Moog Minitaur amongst others

About the Track
The track I'd like to submit is called Monica Bellucci. There are two versions to the track. The original and dubstep.

The original version starts of with trap influence. It goes briefly into a dub step feel before going into a club like feel. The original mix can be heard at https://soundcloud.com/rizalkhan/monica-bellucci

The dubstep version is influenced by the UK style of dubstep. The dubstep mix can be heard here:-https://soundcloud.com/rizalkhan/monica ... ubstep-mix

If you like what you hear, please check out the track An E. It is a club influenced track with a little acid kinda groove. https://soundcloud.com/rizalkhan/an-e-original-mix

I appreciate any feedback (good or bad). You can listen to more of my tracks at rizalkhan's Spotlight page on SoundCloud - Hear the world’s sounds. For more info, please visit www.facebook.com/rk1music

Thank you

Rizal, although not completely my cup o' tea, I have to say your tracks are well done. I especially liked "An E". Keep it up!

Here's something a little different.

A short cover/tribute to famed guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, of one of his songs called Black Star. It's a work in progress...until I manage to get his guitar chops down on keyboard (don't hold your breath on that  ) to complete the rest...

Enjoy what is already there for now. All done on Minimoog D (with drum machine).

Nice man. I hope you get the rest of the guitars.

If you have time, can you explain how you got your sound?

Thanks, I'm working on continuing the song...

As for the "distorted Fender-type electric guitar" patch on the Mini, it's relatively simple. 2 oscillators with sawtooth waveform on same octave 8', very slightly detuned (very very slow frequency beating), and using the well-known "feedback" trick of taking the Low Output and connecting it to the External audio input of the Mini. The level of the External Input Volume is set at around 4.

The rest involves careful control of the very sensitive pitch bend wheel, for string bending and vibrato.

Optional: use oscillator 3 as sinewave LFO for vibrato effect by controlling effect level using mod wheel.

It's been a while since I have uploaded anything new, so I ended up digging up something I wrote about three months ago and polishing it up a bit. I used my Korg Polysix predominantly, but there's Voyager in there as well. If I remember correctly, I used one of the Monotrons for something, but now I can't remember what it was. All the basslines were done on the Polysix.
