after months, just got my Opus 3 back from the shop and working great..however, the Delay slider in the Contour
section has a loose top....any of you techies know the value of this slider?

i ordered some from Technology Transplant, have a few extra, hoping one is the correct value.

I haven't looked at the' schematics, but most attack, decay and release pots are 1 meg audio tapers.

thanks Kevin, i think i have one leftover from the Technology Transplant lot.

The schematic shows a 1 MEG audio, but it is a special double ganged slider. One side for the VCA the other for the VCF section. Notice in the pic below the extra wide body on the middle decay slider. There are 4 of those double sliders on the Opus 3 all together.


EDIT: the "Delay" slider in the Modulation section is a single 1 MEG audio. Not sure if you ment that one since your post says "Delay" slider?

yep....i didn't get any of the wide-body models..thanks ! looks like all of these on yours are new...

i tried to order the Opus slider cap replacement set from them but it has disappeared from their site...maybe
it's visible in their "upper-tier membership": 50.00. uggh.

I think I got the first kit off Ebay, the prototype, had to be back around 2006/7. Paid $99.00 for everything, all sliders, switches, caps,and even the 6 knobs. The prices have almost doubled since then. Those dual ganged ones were the troubled sliders on my Opus. The two Freq and Res in the string section, and the Tone in the organ section, plus the Decay in the contour section.
It is the Decay slider you are asking about?

Syntaur has the individual slider caps for sale, but i don't think they have the special wide body slider.

I tend to avoid used gear with slidepots. Finding replacements with the right value/taper with the exact footprint to fit the circuit board - at low quantities - is very difficult.
