I pulled the amp (Genz Benz 900 Streamliner) from my bass rig until the dedicated amp arrives next month.
This Lab Series L2 arrived for use as the T3's dedicated amp. It pushes the T3's highs and lowest lows just fine! Super clean at loud volume.

I would always recommend a space echo. DO IT. And if for some strange reason you don't like it, I want it.

Worst combo I have ever heard. Avoid it like the plague. I reccommend a dx7 and a bitcrusher.

I actually would love to have a Space Echo but I don't know how long the tape will be available. It is sort of the same thing with the Fulltone Tape Delay. They give you enouhg tape with the Fulltone to last 20 years, but I want to be both loving and playing a lot longer that that.

Id say go for it if you know how to maintain it and you know where to find or how to make tape.

I rather suggest a Bontempi El Cheapo Organ in a concrete bunker...

Fwiw, several places supply replacement tapes and even parts like capstans and pinch rollers.
Just do a Google Search.

A Mini through a Space Echo is a beautiful thing. :)

A Boss RE-20 is the next best thing to the real thing. And in a song, I bet nobody could tell the difference.

That's a lethal combo! I did something similar (though admittedly lower shelf) for my bass pedalboard; A TC Electronics MojoMojo overdrive -> Flashback Delay -> Hall of Fame Reverb, the last two of which have the fancy Toneprint feature.

I'm sure you'll get hours and hours of enjoyment out of your Phatty with that setup. A nice delay really adds a new dimension to a mono synth.

YEeaaah, really cool pedal board! :)

A friend of mine got the DMB lately; I was amazed by the coolissimo character of it!

Hey, Igor Cristo, what do the Mistress and DMB boxes say when you first open them?... I like the cute little attentions EHX put there!

I remember the day I pulled this demo record out of Keyboard Magazine. Well, 25+ yrs later I finally located one and bought it:

Why would you need a DX-7 AND a bitcrusher? The DX-7 already has a bitcrusher BUILT IN that can't even be bypassed!

I'm sure I'll enjoy them!! You also have a great pedal set.

@stiiiiiiiive
DMB - Your boy genious.
Cathedral - Your sonic sanctum.
SEM - Your stereo seductress awaits.

I love those little attentions too! It's a nice touch!!

Maybe, on a deep mix with not much feedback and little wet/dry mix, with a brand new original space echo, you might not be able to tell the difference. but most have old worn heads with old tape, and uncalibrated record/play electronics, which all add to the sound. but especially with the mini, by itself, the difference is night and day. particularly in self oscillation, it does this crazy percussive thing that the re20 doesnt.

I avoid digital mostly, but am not against using digital effects (or instruments, but that's another topic), and while the re20 is a good effect, it is not in the same league. Actually, I have been using Logic's stock tape delay plug in, which sounds better than the re20 and way more versatile.

I did hate the re20 when I first used it, just because I was comparing it to the original, and it was very different, but I heard it on other sources and liked it. however, the most godly sound I have ever heard was my mini through space echo on $20k Meyer sound monitors. I played a little with the studio door open, and people walking by poked their heads in and were stunned, as was I just by a simple patch.

And tape will be around forever, you can actually use mostly any high bias lubricated tape and cut your own loops.
