It's the first time I've seen someone playing slap bass on a Moog !

Cool, isn´t it? I´ve created a new synth playing-technique. Works only on Moog Synthesizers.

That is one helluva scope.

What is helluva (mean)? Manufacturer of my big scope is Meade.

I've found that reflector telescopes do not give as high quality of an image as a reflector telescope, but what do I know? The extent of my knowledge is from Astronomy Club in high school.

You mean as an refractor (lens) scope. That´s not really correct. A scope with lenses brings chromatic aberration, which a reflector didn´t have. Or you have a reflector scope with a (nearly 99%) correction of this fault. But such a scope with the same power (in light collection), which depends on the diameter of the mirror (reflector) respectively lens (refractor), costs very much more then a reflector scope. What do you think, why the professional astronomers build the big scopes as a reflector?

But the pros make them reflectors because the refractors are top heavy and it's much easier to make a huge mirror than a lens.

... what means, that a big refractor is very much more expensive. Another problem is, that you can hold the lense just on the edge of it, whilst the mirror of an reflector scope can be hold at the complete backside. As the diameter goes far beyond 100 centimeter the mass of the lense will be to heavy for holding it's perfect shape. ... But let's stop here, it's OT.

Hello Heiko,

yes, we had our vacation in the US - including the really beautiful city of Asheville. We took an amazing factory tour there - now I'm even more enthusiastic about this company and it's great products. Everything handmade in Asheville!!
The Werkstatt-01 is a very basic synthesizer - reduced to what a real Moog has to sound like. And it sounds amazing. Earth-shaking!
My next plan is to connect it to my Doepfer modular system, building a box with real 3,5mm jacks.

Aside from spring reverbs, anything analog in the reverberation department would be either very big, heavy, and costly (plate), or big and costly (big room with quality speakers and mikes). Not to mention not very configurable and controllable.

There are some digital reverbs that sound really great and natural.

My Sub 37 just arrived so I connected it to my Sub Phatty to create a hybrid Sub 37 Phatty monster.

Put the reverb in the Aux send in your mixer. Then you have 100% analog tone with 100% digital reverb tails. Control the amount of each with your mixer. Problem solved.

It's all about the AKG Bx-25e reverb. I yearn for this, but I will eventually see about building a plate when that time comes.

I've been working with software synths for years, but nothing beats the real deal.
