Post your latest purchase!!
Re: Post your latest purchase!!
yo! Haven't been 'round these parts in what feels like ages. It's been a crazy hectic summer so far. Got hitched, threw a monster BBQ, working non-stop across several states. During all of the hustle, I have been building synths (purchasing the PCB's and sourcing the parts) then selling them on eBay. I've gathered a bit of change doing this. Today I went into Guitar Center to return a MIDI Keyboard with a bad key (plus I wasn't really diggin it). While the guy was refunding the money, I decided to stroll through the keyboard section. As soon as I turned the corner, I saw, in all of its wooden and metal glory, a Prodigy! This thing looked damned near brand new! Not one scratch on the wood or metal. All the silk screening was pristine. The knobs & sliders in tact. Then I saw the price...$599. Of course, this I could not pass up. I had wanted a Prodigy for some time, I just could never bring myself to pay the price they are going for on eBay. I did find that the tuning was out, but everything else functioned 100%. Barely any scratchy pots. I figured the adjustments will probably cost around $100. $699 still sounded like a great deal. Done and done!!! Anyway, it was a very exciting and joyous day for me and thought I'd share it wit y'all.

Congratulations on many fronts! The unit looks great!
Seems guitar center will produce a gem now and then. My sister found a JCM TSL 1000 for 700 bucks in there. Previously owned by an amp tech who threw in high dollar tubes. They sold it to her for that price because they thought it was broken. The footswitch controller wouldn't change the channels, but little did they seem to realize that you have to have the buttons in the right configuration. Once she found that out, the footswitch performed flawlessly. She paired it with a Mesa Boogie 2x12. Sis 1, guitar center 0.

Looks like this one here by the pic posted? A model AP3212.Kenneth wrote:that stand is exactly what I'm looking for. Where did you find it? I'm not seeing it online.
Griffin AP3212 at Amazon
Picked up a new stand myself. Was looking for something for my live rig that would be easy to set up/tear down. Went with a QuikLok WS550, looks like a table stand, but folds down into itself to form a T. The T stand can hold a bit of weight and has to support the Roland MKS-1000 and The Moog modular. Have those Ultimate Support Apex column stands on either end, holding a Dotcom on the left and my Minimodular on the right. The legs on the Apex fold into the column and arms store in the top.
The streamlined live rig so far. (Arturia Minibrute not staying, just there for some fun!)

CZ: I cannot even comment; You've got a hell of a setup and it keeps getting better, even if just by a new stand and a restack.
MukSys: Wow. That's a dream, huh? I did the opposite, bought an Opus 3 on Ebay looked good enough and when it arrived it had scratchy sliders, a painted case (thought it was tastefully stained based on the blurry pictures) funky kerosine smell coming from the inside and yes, the black foam sludge galore. But it works and I love it. Congrats on the Prodigy; now get the shirt!

Moog Voyager XL #0381 made it safe and sound by FedEx from Sweetwater to my home in Connecticut, USA (I ordered it Wednesday afternoon and it arrived with regular free shipping from Indiana on Friday afternoon) The quality of workmanship is just plain silly and the sound is to die for. I was literally shaking as I unpacked it. No clue on how to post a pic to the thread (and I'm supposed to play an XL!)
