a big thanks to everyone, best synth forum I know

Post by namahshaman » Wed Feb 01, 2012 2:04 pm

Just wanted to drop a line to everyone here and say thanks for the sense of community that you all bring to this forum. I have recently been seeking help on some VA topics, so I've been to a few other forums and posted my questions. Plenty of people have viewed them, but no one has responded at all (I realize that maybe no one knows, but still). This experience has made me appreciate the Moog forum even more. So, thanks everyone. much love

Indeed. This is a dynamic place ! There are many active, knowledgeable and generous people here ready to share it and to help out. You can also exchange tips and ideas, express opinions, and contribute. So, on their behalf and mine, you are most welcome.

Perhaps the smartest and most generous people come to Moog? :)
There's also a respect factor here that can be missing with other forums.

You'd better ask unfiltered37 for that. He's quite good at it! To the point of having an entire thread deleted by the moderators because of him...

Sorry, I couldn't hold that back. Shame shame shame on me!
I guess that would qualify me also as being negative and a creep ...

I have to admit that when I read that thread in question,my jaw kept getting progressively closer to the ground with every comment.
I really couldn't believe he unloaded on you like that.I just think everything would be a lot better if you would send me your model D,I'll give you my address.

I was negative when I got into a debate about the definition of "polyphony"- I maintain it implies more than two.o.k. I'll shut up.

I wonder how much the "D's" will be worth in ten years,it makes me shudder to think.I know,I know, that has already been discussed.

It depends on how long this analog revival goes on for. Only a few years ago I was getting into arguments over analog vs VA...now, it seems, everyone I was arguing with are jumping on the analog bandwagon. :? In the 80's, you could pick up a D for less than $300, or so I've heard tell. The DX 7 was taking over. Now, we've come full circle...in ten years, who knows what the fad will be?
