Im not sure where this belongs or if this is even the right forum but here goes. My buddys dad has a pair of old moog synthesizer amplifier setups in his basement and we recently decided to set them up. They sound great but my buddy blew out one of the speakers with his bass so we need help. Does anyone know how to replace the speaker or what speaker i would even need to buy to replace it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is a picture of the setup:

If you had 800 watts of Moog Synamp in your room, your pictures would be crooked too.
Those things were something over $4000 ea.... in the '70's too. Amazing pic.

yeah with all the comfy seating and gear strewn about, it looks like a party just happened, or happens on a regular basis- just need some beer cans and, dare I say it, a bong, laying around...

Re: Moog Synthesizer Amplifier
Just remove the blown speaker and take it to a shop that does speaker recones. I believe they stocked them with EVs or Altecs, should be a recone kit for them.
I have one of those Synamps but not the speakers. Just the amp head was $3995 in 1979, not including the speakers. That dual Synamp with speakers was some rich setup back then.
When we set up a pile of vintage gear at the NAMM2000 show, Bob stopped by to browse and told us a great story when they were getting the Synamp ready for release. He said they set up a full Synamp system on the production floor, cranked it full blast, then played a Moog through them. He said there wasn't a single person on the floor that didn't have their hands over their ears!
