Re: Analog poly is not possible....
I'm sure Moog can make a Polysynth for 20.000 USD as well, well you can polychain 1 Voyager and 7 RME for not even half the price ofJust Me wrote:BS!

that Schmidt polysynth
The trouble is the price.
I would be dazzled if Stefan sells more than 10. Still, it looks like the thang

It is like a Matrix 12 and modular in one. The routing and modulation is phenomenal! I can't duplicate it with my modular for 20K. Would be more like 35K and the size of a garage.

Re: Analog poly is not possible....
Not sure how discrete it is.
Maybe the filters, VCAs and waveshaping?
Supposedly it has:
- more than 50 fast CPUs to control
- independent timer controlled analog oscillators
- digital LFOs and digital ENVs
To some people, the timer-based DCOs in a Juno 106 are discrete, but some of them would even argue that a CD player is analog.
I give the maker my respect either way.
It's better than doing nothing with his very obvious talents.
Quite a beast. I wish him well.
