Post by bollinote » Mon Apr 25, 2011 4:39 pm

Hello again:
I am looking to get the users Moog modular manual. Copy or original (if possible). I will of course pay it but can also exchange /trade for other rare original moog info I have.
Thank you

Was there ever a manual? I don't think so or else it would be a hot download. I know there were catalogs with short descriptions of the modules. There are most definitely service manuals. I'm sure there wasn't a user manual like say the Minimoog. The University of Iowa seems to have made up their own basic manual, which is still online.

I remember when I had a chance to talk to Isao Tomita he mentioned there was no manual and he bought direct from the factory 1971 as I recall.

There is the Dan Wyman manual written around 1974. Most of the module descriptions from that manual, are on the "Moogarchives" site. The last part of the manual has patching examples. Uses the newer 921 and CP3a modules in the patches. No mention of the 901's.

There's a pdf "Instruction Manual for Moog Synthesizer System 15" available for free.
Just do a Google search. It covers (most of) the major modules available at the time.

Best,

There is a Moog Modular Owners Manual, it has a silver cover & it's pretty thick.
Unfortunately I no longer have mine, sorry to hear the you paid Mike Bucki for
one and he never sent you it  no excuse for that. Good luck, once and a
blue moon you will find a photocopy FS on ebay

Hi all

Many years ago (about 30) I made a copy of the manual. Now I have it available as PDF. Just let me know if I can send you a copy.
At the moment I am rewriting it and will include also the close-systems as the COTK and synthesizers.com. It will take some time as I have to do this work in my spare free moments.

Regards

John

Just funny to know: I discovered that the Library of Congress WDC has an original version in their library, so I asked about it. After two weeks I received an answer that they could not find it any more in their well catalogued repository...
