PolyTheremin

Post by Nick Montoya » Thu Mar 31, 2011 11:27 pm

This had to be the most well thought out, well produced April fools hoax yet..
I love Cyril and Amos in the white coats, as if they walk around the factory like that!

Also, getting Dorit in on it was classic. She even says " Its easier to play than the mono theremin".. lol

The technology used to make this happen also spells out IDIOT !

Lol.. you *almost* had me..

Props on the awesome prototypes... Amos/Steve?

Love,

Nick

Im going to start saving now for the 100 year anniversary theremin that Moog probably hasn't thought about releasing yet.

Coolest prank ever!

Since they actually made mock-ups of the poly theremin, they should auction them off to help raise money for the bob moog foundation

I loved this one, as well as the auto pitch from last year! Would anyone care to post a list of all of Moog's hoax products?

What would be great is if the joke was on us this year..

A polyphonic theremin?

That would be the ultimate joke. To have us assume it is a joke, when it isn't..

Anyway.. ha

One year they teased us with the Moog guitar with a video that some of us thought was a joke.

(Sometimes the April 1st jokes offer clues as to future products. MFFM = Freqbox, AutoDetune = LP rack, PolyTheremin = ??? PROFIT)

Totally - that song made the whole video for me. Just stupid enough to be Good, not Bad.
