... here's a new one on me.
Notice anything strange?
A good close look at the envelope generators on the left maybe?
The jacks are backwards!
Anyone ever seen this before? (I haven't)
This is a Moog 55A that was built in 1982.
Pretty late for most of their modular sales.
Perhaps they used reject panels? Tried different layouts?
Seeing an RA Moog module in a 55 is commonplace, but what's with the 911 jacks swapped?
Those holes are punched at different diameters, so it was no accident.
Another weirdy: the 930 PSU is only half anodized.
The bottom is bare metal, but the cage is black.
By 1982 maybe they were running out of parts?
Here's the whole thing below.
Lots of blank panels, but more than enough to be interesting.

Re: Ok Moog modular experts...
By 1982 the modulars came out of the Moog Custom Engineering shop. Odd stuff like the String Filter and Dual Oscillator units came out of there.
In the tradition of odd stuff, those EGs are the left-handed models.
See that blank panel? That's the 904D no pass filter.
You may even see 960 sequencers that clock from right to left, and CP mixers that go to 11.

Didn't they also make the 360 degree phase shifted oscillator?
