Hello everybody,

Here is a passion project I just released- many different sounds, but the Mother-32 is present on each of the four tracks.

Hi there !
I was looking precisely for a place where people shared they synth music, so thank you @Kenneth for creating this thread. I recently opened a small YouTube channel where I post my finished pieces:
https://www.youtube.com/@goingmodular

All music there is made with my base gear, which is listed below:

Synthesizers
* Moog Subharmonicon
* Moog DFAM
* Arp 2600 clone by Behringer

Keyboards and Sequencers
* Arturia Keystep
* M-Audio 49e

Effect Pedals
DR600 Digital Reverb Pedal by Behringer
VD400 Vintage Delay Pedal by Behringer

Feedback of any kind is most welcome !

This newest composition was programmed and performed entirely on the Moog ONE, and the journey is illuminated via an incredible 4K custom computer generated video.
Headphones are recommended.

Here's a compact interpretation of the Steve Roach classic Structures from Silence, with all sounds and ambience created entirely on the Moog ONE, and recorded live directly to my iPad.
Headphones are recommended.

This is another recently created piece using just the Moog One as a big modular system.
Again, headphones recommended!

What program or additional hardware did you use on your iPad to record your Moog One? Thanks

I use Auria on the iPad for recording.
48 tracks, built in EQ and compression per track, automation. You’ll need the Apple Camera Kit to give you an external USB connection for a Midi interface if you want to use an external keyboard or other devices or connect an external audio interface. The Audiobus app lets you internally connect synth apps etc to the recorder. Aum does this as well. I use a Focusrite interface (Scarlett and 18i20) in my home studio currently.
The Audiobus forum is a good source of info for this kind of stuff.

I see thanks. I would assume the app and the hardware might be expensive. I don’t know much about what’s used with iPads since I used to use ADATs. I would think all the system credentials would be imperative to know about the iPad you are using for that application. I also read some things about that camera card was finicky. Are all those tracks ssimultaneous
Record and playback? Or are you limited to a certain number of tracks depending at what sample rate it might record at? My only synth that has usb is my sequential pro 3. Was also wondering what sampling rate they might use, maybe 96khz? I remember that when I use to sample that I could change the sample rate, and also if it was mono verses stereo
Would use more or less ram for the sample. I used to use a kurzweil synth sampler with 64 megs of ram although I never had a hard idk recorder just 24 tracks of adats although I did have a alesis master link that had a hard drive. I used to sample at rates lower than 96. Not sure what is currently being used now since I know there are much higher sampling rates thier using. I would think the amount of HD space would be very important as well. Thanks

I’ve been using a first year iPad Pro with no problems, and also sometimes use an iPad Air gen 1 with no problems. I’m using a later gen Camera Connector that allows me to power/charge the iPads while using them, which is nice. Haven’t seen any finicky stuff.

I think that Auria price is about $50; I bought it during one of their sales when it first became available for half price. My first interface (which I still use sometimes) was the Scarlett, which was around $150. Probably available used now for a lot less.
I got the bigger one several years later which adds more inputs and outputs which is rack mounted, has Midi, can be assigned to individual tracks and run through my mixer for my “out of the box” effects, which is nice. Some pretty interesting effects chains can be made that way.

IIRC I think you can select 48/96k for recording, although I always record at 48K.
I forgot to mention that I also use a Sandisk memory stick that allows me to archive projects from Auria to my computer (and vice versa) and then on to external hard drive storage. Although I got the 128G iPad, that stuff’s gotta go somewhere eventually, eh?
Since it’s just me recording I usually don’t have lots of inputs running at once; the most I’ve done so far is 12, I think. Sometimes I submix synths in analog with effects to a stereo track while also directly recording stereo outputs from others like the Moog ONE. Never had any crashes or weird problems, and never lost any data.
I do try to keep up with archiving my projects, ‘cause you just never know.

Do you do synth repair? Did you restore a polymoog and a modular? I think I might have seen your utube videos. I also saw one utube video comparing you Minimoog model D vintage one to a Boog model D you had midied to a korg radias as the master. Wasn’t sure if those utube videos were you.

A little late and not much synth content but it's short and there's a bit of Moog Sub Phatty near the end. 8)
