Hi folks,
A friend of mine asked me to look at his Prodigy. I found that there is no output coming from oscillator 2. When I switch the waveform I hear some crackling, but otherwise nothing. Does anyone know if this is an easy fix?
Thanks in advance.

Obviously you must determine the fault at first.
If a crackling can be heard I would check the waveform selector switch first. Perhaps it is corroded. If so, you should see signals at the inputs. If not, you should backtrace the signal path to the saw core with a scope (E112, see service manual for details). If no saw is created at all, I would replace the CA3046 transistor array and check egain.

Thanks for your help. I’ll check the switch first. I don’t have a scope, so I might have to invest in one. I’ve got a starting point now. Thanks again.
