Y cable to split CV?

I was wondering whether it’s OK to use a Y-cable such as…

…to split a CV signal with the Moogerfoogers? Eg, to split an LFO from the CP-251 out to two Moogerfooger inputs. I know it’s preferable to use the CP-251 mult section, but I don’t want to tie it up for this case. I suppose there’s a problem using it with an expression pedal because they expect power, but I wouldn’t be doing that.

In Eurorack-land they have stackable 3.5mm cables which neatly solve this problem. Is there something equivalent for 6.3mm jack connectors?

That cable does not split anything. It’s a stereo jack to two mono jacks.
You want a mono jack that gets split to two mono jacks.

Thanks! I haven’t found an elegant solution for that. I suppose this should work then:

Aye, that’ll work.
The only downside I found with adapters like that is that the cables end up sticking out quite far and with the extra weight you have to be careful not to knock them.

Agreed, rather inelegant
