Wireless MIDI connection refused iPad Animoog

know this topic has been discussed in the past, but I’m not able to find current info on it. I’m trying to connect my Animoog (iPad) to my rMBP via wireless MIDI but it refuses the connection. I can see my iPad in the MIDI network setup directory when I setup both an Ad-Hoc network and connected to my home WiFi network. I have purchased the MIDI Expansion pack and restarted the app, still not able to connect. Anyone still having issues with not connecting?

iPad mini - iOS 7.1.1
Macbook Pro (Retina) - 10.9.2
Animoog - 2.1.1

As in previous articles dating back to iOS 5, I had to start another free app to have my iPad connect and stay connected with my rMBP’s wireless MIDI. Once I started this free app, in this case Patch Morpher, my iPad accepted the wireless MIDI connection. I can now restart my iPad and only have Animoog running for it to connect and stay connected.

I’ll let Moog support know what I did to get their $5 MIDI expansion pack to work, if they decide to respond.
