Hi
I had my little phatty running on my x86 (32bit) win7 platform for a few years now. Only USB connected the whole time.
I’ve re-installed the same copy of windows, just upped to x64
USB port the same, i turn on the phatty, installaion of driver fails, COS THERE ISNT ONE.
Device manager shows this:

i tried the nirsoft usb viewer and moog.inf, the moog.inf said install fail / not supported.
heartbroken. help me plz
Forgot to say, it doesnt show in Cubase at all
Im sure there was probably a fix i did the first time around, but didnt document it at the time, forgot it, and now ill be reminded and look like a dork.
but thats okay if i can get this working ASAP!
IVE COME ACROSS SO MANY BUGS WITH WINDOWS 7 X64, YOU SHOULD PROBABLY ASK TECH SUPPORT, REALLY THE PROBLEM THAT IVE COME ACROSS WITH WINDOWS 7 IS, TO MANY PROGRAMS ARE JUST NOT SUPPORTED YET. ITS UH GREAT OS, JUST NOT FULLY SUPPORTED YET..
Hey there
thanks. I just got it working (along with presonus faderport, same problem) by RE-INSTALLING the OS again. (!!)
I tried alot of registry stuff to remove bad initial usb setups, but to no avail. Its actually quicker to flash your os and start again. groan.
putting cubase on now so fingers crossed, this time its the first thing im trying before anything else.
mods you can go crazy on this, its pretty much solved
thanks.
Did you get this working? If so, what was the solution? I have hte same issue with Win7 x64.
Pete
Nevermind. I see you reinstalled your windows OS, not the phatty OS. That’s a pretty heavy hammer, and not something I’m going to do in my case, but glad it worked for you.

So still no solution for Windows 7 x64…
To bad, it’s 2012, and still 64 bit issues!
