Hi all, just received my copy of the excellent Who is William Onyeabor and trying to work out whether the bass part is played on a bass synth or a regular bass guitar? Any thoughts?
Hi peeps, I’m guessing noone has heard the William Onyeabor album yet then LOL. If you haven’t then I’d thoroughly recommend it as it’s full of Moog lovelyness.
I just listened to it on Spotify. Definitely electric bass. I do like the ARP or whatever it is (doesn’t sound like a moog, but might be).

this is what i hear
electric bass guitar. sounds like a fender precision bass.
electric guitar. (with light phasing)
some variant of electric piano (or poorly recorded beat up piano)
some variant of a string machine.
said variant of a string machine played through a phaser (badly twiddled live)
drum kit.
tambourine.
chorus of female singers.
male lead vocal.
male backing vox.
