Hi there, all. Sorry to dedicate an entire topic to this, but this is important to me. I only have a piece-o’-crap USB controller keyboard as a MIDI interface to my computer, so I have no MIDI input to the computer, hence no way to bulk-dump my presets to a sequencer. (Yeah, I know, I know… in a perfect world I’d have a MIDI interface but, being an audio guy at heart, I’ve spent all my green on Real Instruments. No regrets.)
I have a number of presets (or programs, whatever) that I’ve spent many hours making, and a few which were created by fortuitous accident. They’ve taken me some time and effort to create and accumulate. I don’t want to lose them.
I also am drooling over the latest incarnation of the Voyager operating system (thanks, Rudi!) and the many new features and advances offered therein.
So my question to the community is this: will applying Voyager OS 2 rewrite my presets (both 1-64 and 65-128)? Is one of the Banks (A, B, or C)responsible for writing new presets into the Voyager? I’m somewhat hesitant, as the new OS adds the ability to return to factory presets (its only fault, in my opinion), and they’ve got to reside somewhere, right?
Can I safely apply all parts of the upgrade, or is it time to break out the notebook paper and patch sheets?
Thanks, all, for your time and consideration.
