Why do some presets make sound with all OSC off...

Hey all,

Why do some presets make sound when all the OSC’s are off and the mod wheel is up?

E3 “Classic Bass” on my voyager XL is a good example, sound comes from right monitor… and preset # E 7 “Finger bass” dose it to?

Not all do it, though some do…

The multiplier gain of the modulation bus is very high (amunt = 250) and the source is osc 3 and the destination is the filter.
That means you can hear a quiet modulation of osc 3 into the filter.

You can also make patches using a self oscillating filter and not use the oscillators at all.
