Would you be interested in Whitewashed Moogerfooger sides? I want a pair for my MF-104 delay. Maybe we can make some noise and get Moog to offer them to us, or even unfinished sides that we can then finish ourselves. Thoughts?
I thought of the Idea long ago of having a MoogerFooger Cheek Piece trade in. Where you submit your cheek pieces and you get a totally 100percent matched set.
Since this is a pipe dream, probably your best bet is to contact synthwood and see what they can do, or IF they are willing to do stuff like that.
Id like ALL of my Foogers to perfectly match, but Im happy with them having wood sides. Im not going to be THAT anal about my Foogers, though I wish that I could rack them and not sacrifice my middle cheeks.
My gf’s dad is a wood finisher and someday id like him to refinish my moogerfooger and micro (well make actual wood end pieces for the micro) in white wash. Then one day when I slip on pee pee in walmart and file a lawsuit against them and win (hey,it worked on king of the hill) I can buy a whitewash voyager, and custom white wash E1-m and taurus pedals, with my pee pee money, to match
Oooo those some fine looking moogerfoogers! I’ve been wanting this for some time now. I think the white wash makes the moog stuff look so retro-futuristic if that makes any sense. Like 1950’s idea of 2030
Agreed.
Mid-Century Modern Moog.
If they offered a trade-in program for wooden cheeks I’d definitely send my regulars in to get whitewash ones.
I’m thinking spray paint won’t look nearly as good, but if I get desperate…
That design style started in the 50s but was still popular through some of the 70s.
A good example would be the furniture designed by Eero Saarinen in the 50s.
I only know this because my wife is infatuated with this style of decor.
…which, by the way, Studio Electronics totally ripped off with their Orion synth. Were these ever produced and sold? I remember the news announcement a year or two ago, but I’ve never seen them for sale. Maybe they are special order.
