Which Moog synths support 128-note alternate turnings?

I was really happy to see that the Sub 37 supports 128-note alternate turnings that can be sent over from Scala – before I go and pick one up i wanted to ask in case there are other options–do any other Moog synths support this?

Little Phatty for one - and there are others.

There’s a discussion on the subject here…

Yeah? I know that the LP and Sub Phatty can do alternate tunings, but I thought they could only do 12-note octave scales, as opposed to full keyboard (128 note) tunings for scales that don’t use 12 notes per octave. Are you sure? There’s a pretty good definition of the difference in that thread you posted, actually. Maybe I should have phrased my initial question better, as I’m interested in knowing which Moog synths support alternate tunings but am especially interested in knowing if any (and I think that the Sub 37 is one) support full keyboard alternate tunings, as that allows for some really interesting possibilities.

As you mentioned in your original post, yes, the Sub 37 accepts the MIDI Bulk Tuning Dump message - 128 notes with 3-byte tuning each. It also accepts the Single-Octave tuning messages. It’s fun to turn the keyboard upside down.

Note that the Sub 37 stores 32 single-octave tunings internally. It accepts the “full keyboard” tuning dump, but doesn’t store it - that one is gone at power-off.

The Phatty Tuner application on Moog’s download page appears to send only the single-octave tunings, so you may be correct in that the Phatty’s do not have the “full keyboard” tuning capability.

Maybe read their manuals very carefully if no-one else responds. It’s somewhat buried in the Sub 37 manual…

Sorry I don’t have more to add. Good luck!
