Which CV Sequencer do you use?

I want to connect an analog sequencer with the separate CV Inputs of the voyager.

Wich Sequencer (not vintage or only modul) works well or do you use/recommend?

I use a Future Retro 777.

thx, but the future Retro is a synth, not what I’m looking for.

I want a simple sequencer without sound like the vintage arp 1601 moog 960 or korg SQ 10…

Is there anyone who has such a sequencer in combination with the voyager?

Okay, why not look at the fr777 as a CV or MIDI sequencer with a free synth! I also have a 777 and its a nasty little monkey..

If you really dont like the idea of getting a 777, how about the Mobius? This is just the sequencer part of the 777 but it also does Hz unlike the 777 which only does V/Oct. My only criticism of the 777/Mobius sequencer is that you have to select a step and then use an up/down button for note entry.. Other than that, its a great sequencer..

Try the Arrick Q119 or Q960 sequencers. They’re both Moog clones and work perfectly with the Voyager. www.synthesizers.com

If you really dont like the idea of getting a 777, how about the Mobius?

could be a solution, it has no knobs or sliders, but also CV jacks.

Try the Arrick Q119 or Q960 sequencers. They’re both Moog clones and work perfectly with the Voyager.

They may be perfect with the voyager, but I need a case, power supply…
I don’t use other modular Synths and I don’t have experience in assembling those stuff. Furthermore I would have to import it to Europe.
I would prefer a complete manufactured tool, but if there is no other alternative, so I would have to order.

sounds well, but only delivery from Australia and is there any view of the rear?

I don’t think there are any actual pictures of the back, but you can download the manual on that webpage. That will tell you all the specifications.

And yes, you would probably have to order it from Australia. Is that really a big problem, though? Where are you located?

that is not a fundamental problem to send it to Germany. Simply the risk in case of Warranty, delivery and so on. I don’t know anybody who use it, where I can test it. I will think about it.

Do you use the frostwave with the voyager or do you just know that it can be a solution?

I use the Frostwave Fat controller with the Voyager and it’s great. I often use either Cubase or the Future Retro Revolution to sequence notes, and the frostwave to sequence things like filter and wave. I send a midi clock from the computer to keep it in time.

But when I first got it I’d use it for pitch. The sliders are smooth enough to get notes accurate, it’s just much easier for me with a digital sequencer.

thank you all. I think, mobius or frostwave may be a solution. Nobody seems to use vintage gear with a voyager.

Maybe you should PM Till/Qwave. I believe he also is in Germany and is knowledgeable so he may know of a good sequencer and a good company to order from.
