What's wrong with my MIDI Murf?

Hello!

I just got my MIDI Murf today and have a question regarding the drive and output controls.

I’m using it for guitar and I find that the sound gets distorted right around noon on the drive knob, and with the output knob maxed out it barely gets loud enough to match the bypassed sound. In order to get it to a good volume level, I have to drive it more towards two o clock on the drive knob which really distorts my guitar sound. I don’t have all the sliders down. It’s in my amp’s FX loop with some other Foogers. Flux>Freq>Murf>Phaser>Delay. Is it unusual that I have to run the output at full blast? Does it sound like I have a problem or am I missing something (I admit I haven’t gotten a chance to fully read the manual yet – being impatient)?

Thanks,

Max

Check page 4 of the manual for your initial settings, then work from there.
Start with all the filters all the way UP.

The manual is your friend when using the Foogers ~
They’re some very unique FX boxes!

As stated above, you need to read the manual for any Moogerfooger. Also, keep in mind that your FX loop will be line level. You will need to readjust levels if going to instrument level.

I moved it out of the amp’s FX loop and into my chain and it really made an improvement! Thanks!
